We recently attended a Hillsong Extravagant Worship conference here in London. This message keeps echoing in my ears. There is a new sound coming from Heaven. I am a pianist/singer and lead the worship in church. I have been sensing that God wants the sound of heaven to come into the realm of earth. It is a beautiful, creative and healing sound. It is the sound of Worship. It is filling the lives of those who seek God. It is our passion. It is a sound that changes lives and communities. It is awesome how this sound has changed our church in the most awesome way. It is a doorway to a new level of existance.

Len, what about throwing up an audio clip of your guys worship music or perhaps something from this conference (if that's possible) on your web site? It would be awesome to hear what your talking about. Smile

Hi Elaine
We will have to record it and convert it to an mp3 file. Have no idea how to post a mp3 file onto thi web or even do video streaming.... This is a technology I will need to master for the future! Smile

Yes that's something I've thought of as well. I have a section of the site set aside one day for Christian musicians that would like to showcase their talents/ministry and to potentially sell their work. I envision having audio clips of their work for people to brouse through. Other ideas I'd like to use audio files for are online teaching courses and sermons that folks can download and listen to. I could see all sorts of cool things to do with it.

I saw the Hillsong Group in LA a few years ago. They were fantastic, the whole experience changed my worship life.

That is exactly that Skye! You cannot be the same after you have experienced worship on that level. It is indeed a whole new dimension of worship, and it changes you forever. The sound of heaven is being brought into the earth! Bless you!

I've a double CD of Hillsong Praise & Worship music and it's among my real favorites, to be sure.

I've an idea. Anybody remember a fairly old song recorded by Russ Taff, called "We Will Stand"? It's about uniting as the body of Christ, standing together until His return. Well, I was just struggling to play in on the piano, and the thought came to me....wouldn't it be cool to sing that in an affirming congregation...or even some huge conference? For ALL of us, gay, straight, whatever.

Hey searcher can you go through our CD/Hillsong section of the bookstore and make sure we have that CD in our listing? I want to buy that CD but I'm not sure which one it is on the list!

Searcher,

That old Russ Taff fave still echoes in my head sometimes...years ago I was involved in a church where some of the people were...let's say...quite particular about the songs/soloists and never happy about anything? We all know the type.

Anyways there was a young girl there who quite honestly really couldn't sing but she had such a heart to serve God and I would've far rather listened to her sing a little flat and off key and mean it with her whole heart. The old ladies sitting behind me made some nasty comment about her singing and her mom was sitting next to me. I felt so bad for her but all these years later Sherry is still serving the Lord with everything she's got and when I hear that song I think of her and how the Lord has used her because of her willingness.

Whenever I'm on a road trip I pack the car with worship CD's and "let'er rip" driving down the road. Hillsong's are wonderful for that. I hope to get to one of their conferences sometime.

Elaine,

It's there, under Volume 1, as "Shout to the Lord 2000". It's a live album, which certainly adds to the "umph" of the songs.
