A movie to watch for coming out in limited release June 17th. It's a British film called "My Summer of Love" about two teenage girls with very different upbringings who meet one summer and begin an unlikely friendship which developes into more...

Hello
Have seen the film a while ago. It's pretty good. When I saw it, the author of the book that the film was based on was there, and did an interview afterwards (small, local arts cinema) and bits of the film appear to be quite different from the book (haven't read it). Some of the christian scenes are very accurately done and similar to my experience of Church and that, in a way, was more uncomfortable than the scenes between the two girls. It's not the fastest moving film ever - but it does portray the sort of sultry oppressive summers we get here sometimes. There are also quite a lot of loose ends, but it is a good film and definately worth watching. Wanderer Be gentle to all and stern with yourself. Saint Teresa of Avila |

My partner and I saw this movie this summer and both thought it was a bit lame. The story is ok just bad acting and came across as a low budget film. Being an independant film it likely was but we didn't fault it for that. It wasn't the worst movie I've ever seen but not the best either. So one thumb up....Joan
