I am watching Regis and Kelly right now, and they have Macaulay Culkin on there talking about his new movie "Saved" which open today in limited theaters. It's supposed to be a "comedy", set in a Christian school, where one of the characters comes out as beng gay. So...I looked for a synopsis of the movie online, and found this:
quote: Keeping in mind that it is supposed to be a comedy...I was wondering what your thoughts about this movie are? God Bless you all, shy ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ #Free_Women: Chat Room and Message Board for Christian lesbians: Sharing the love of the Lord through chat and prayer!

I'm having a hard time picturing it as a comedy....maybe more of a "buddy film?" KWIM?

I rented this movie recently. I didn't find it blasphemous. What I did find was that it "spoofed" the church/Christians as they can be at times. Like when the girl threw her Bible at the one they were trying to save and yelled, "I do so have the love of Christ in me!" It brought home some relevant truths.
I really enjoyed it. I'm interested in anyone else's opinion who's seen the movie. Joan |

I rented the movie and thought it was pretty much dead on from what I remembered in high school. I had a posse of 'friends' following me in high school, determined they were going to get me 'saved'! I even did the fake being saved just to get them off my back...gosh, I was soooo bad.
