Hmm,well I was talking with a friend this evening and she suggested we share some of the crazzzyy things that we animal lovers live with;
A couple of weeks ago we took the kids up to Scotland where we had planned to leave them for a week to spend time with their friends,when Linda and I got home without the girls,the cat was furious she looked everywhere for them and then spent the rest of the day pouting because we had not brought her beloveds back with us.
It was a lovely day when we went to work so we left the window open so that poor kitty could get in and out and enjoy the sunshine>>BIG MISTAKE.
We got home from work that day and there was a trail of feathers all around the house up the stairs in the bedroom.all over the place,along with little mounds of puked up birdie,our darling cat was either bringing a gift in the hopes that we would bring her girls home or punishing us for taking them away we are not sure which.

I think it was supposed to be a gift! I had a cat that brought me bats everyday! He'd leave them on my front porch. Yukkk!!!

ECCLESIASTES 5
2 Be not rash with your mouth, and let not your Heart be hasty to utter a Word before God. For God is in Heaven, and you are on earth; therefore let your Words be few.

4 When you Vow a Vow or make a Pledge to God, do not put off paying it; for God has no pleasure in fools (those who witlessly mock Him). Pay What You Vow.

5 It is better that you should not Vow, than that you should Vow and Not Pay.

6 Do not allow your mouth to cause your body to sin, and do not say before the Messenger that it was an Error or Mistake. Why should God be [Made] Angry at your voice and Destroy the work of your hands?

PSALM 15
1 Lord, who shall Abide in Thy Tabernacle? Who Shall Dwell In Thy Holy Hill?

2 He that Walketh Uprightly, and Worketh Righteousness, and Speaketh the Truth in his(her) Heart.

3 He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.

4 In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but He Honoureth Them That Fear The LORD. He that Sweareth to his(her) own hurt, And Changeth Not.

Hi Listies
My eldest used to bring her pup over to play with 2 of our dogs . she had done this for about 3 weeks in a row. one day our sadie heard her coming in the gate and was all excited thinking she would get to play . Our daugther was alone. You should seen sadies face when bailey didnt come in the door . LOL sadie made a sound that was like a grunt and left the room /. LOL it was so funny.
God Bless All

Let's see, we have a kitten that fetches balls and has his own stuffed monkey. We had to buy him one because when my nephew was visiting he kept stealing his EVERY night and would dig down in the covers to get it!!! He is a pistol!!

We also have one that used to sit by the door waiting for my partner's daughter to come home.

They are our entertainment!

It was 5:50am and I was sleeping quite soundly. The window by my side of the bed was open and the cats frequently jump up on the night stand to look out. Now we've been having problems with coyote pups living in the backyard right outside the window. One of our indoor cats, Rosie jumped up onto the night stand but landed with such a thump that she woke me up. All of a sudden she jumped down, hit the hardwood floor and it was like a cartoon, her little legs moving fast trying to get traction. Off she went down the hallway at a dead run. Thinking that a coyote came up to the window, I looked out but didn't see anything. Well, now that I was awake I decided to make a trip to the bathroom. Now I never turn on the light but for some reason this time I did. As I did, first a mouse ran between my legs, and then Rosie hot on it's tail about knocking me down. Sucking in my breath (my version of a scream but fairly loud) brought my wife running and yelling at me "what's wrong". She got to the bathroom door just as I told her that Rosie had a mouse and instead of stepping in and helping me, she slammed the door shut and hollered through the door, "let me know if you need anything"! LOL.... Rosie chased the mouse into a ceramic brush holder so I picked it up and released the mouse in the backyard much to Rosie's chagrin. Hopefully the mouse is smarter now and won't be breakfast for one of the coyotes but at least it's not running up and down the hallway with Rosie in hot pursuit. Rosie was praised for catching it, but also told that she would have gotten just as much praise without trying to get our attention by putting in bed with us. Hmmmmmm, gotta love 'em.

Isaiah 49
1 Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name.

2 And he hath made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of His Hand hath he hid me, and made me a polished shaft; in His quiver hath He hid me;

3 And said unto me, Thou art My servant, O Israel, in whom I will be Glorified.

4 Then I said, I have laboured in vain, I have spent my strength for nought, and in vain: yet surely my Judgment is with the LORD, and my Work with my God.

5 And now, saith the LORD that formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob again to him, Though Israel be not gathered, yet shall I be Glorious in the Eyes of the LORD, and my God shall be my Strength.

Great stories--I can just envision the cat & mouse chase, Rio--Ha! My Boston terrier & my 9 month old grandson have totally bonded, because they like the same chew toys & often, the same food! From the time my grandson could crawl, if "they" were playing "fetch" with me & the ball bounced into a laundry basket where Little **** (my puppy) couldn't reach it, my grandson would crawl over, reach inside & then hand the ball over to his buddy. They are SO cute together! Also, the dog prefers baby cereal puffs while the baby prefers dog food! Wink

I once had a dog [female actually] who used Biggles as a role model. For those who don't know anything about Biggles, he was an aviator in the old days [after the Lindenbergs but I don't recall when] He was always shown wearing a scarf and goggles in an old bi-plane.
Anyway my dog, Paddy, used to sit on the back seat of the car wearing sunglasses and with a scarf wrapped twice around her neck. I had to open the window wide and she would let the wind do its stuff. It was an amazing sight!

Linda, I can just see that dog with the scarf & "shades" on--LOL! Little **** actually wore a Superman costume last year when we did the Run/Walk 5K for Cancer. This year, they just ordered him a size 2-4T company T-shirt so he'd blend in a bit more....Wink

That's funny that you talk about eating pet food....I have two cats. When the oldest was a kitten, I took him to school. I was teaching toddlers at the time (before teaching big kids...though I miss those little ones). It was pet week, and the kids loved my cat. Well, after naptime, some can get up and quietly play away from the rest area. My co-workers and I were talking while the little ones were playing with toys. It got awfully quiet. We turned around and the little ones got into my kitty's cat food, and forking it in by the handfuls. I think the look on my face initially shocked them...then, we busted out laughing. I'll never forget that image!! Those little kids were HUNGRY! Wink

Kimmie,

I am sorry to say that I don't have any solutions for you but your story made me smile. The thought that such a big sound can come from such a little puppy is so cute. I suppose it is not so cute when you are trying to sleep at 2am but when you are across the ocean from it, it is rather funny (sorry). Have you asked your vet? Also after reading your story I thought about those strips for humans that you put on your nose at night to stop snoring, are those safe for animals?

This is me, sympathizing from a house with three animals that do not snore. Smile
