IN ENGLISH:
I propose, with all respect, you would consider to open forums in spanish. As myself, must be someone out there who can need the same oportunity to share their experiences and faith and love for our Lord in their native language. These forums could be an important complement for the mirror site "La Puerta".

I'm quite sure that this wonderful ministry to GLBT christians will be pretty extended to many more people for our Lord Glory.

Phillippians 2:11
"And [that] every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ [is] Lord, to the glory of God the Father." KJV

NOW, THE SAME BUT IN SPANISH:

RV

Hermano, I would suggest you start a topic in Spanish and see what the response is. Not everyone is going to see your suggestion in this thread.

Thank you Ingrid, I see your point.

But this is the thread supposed to talk with the Administrator, and I don't know what the Administrator would think about to start a topic in a different language. I think also that I must respect what the Administrator can consider about such a forum.

I guess that a forum in spanish couldn't be properly moderated if the Administrator haven't the right support for that. And if I were such Administrator I would expect that the proposer consults me before posting. Is just a matter of respect.

So, I will expect for the Administrator response before posting.

Thank you again and God bless you.

Thank you dear sisters!

May I interpret the parenthesis you write around my nickname like an embrace? Because I almost can feel it!!!

Thank you my sisters in Christ. I've seen your posts in several threads and through them I can know your commitment in our Lord's Love.

I pray God for you and I thank Him for give us such faithful sisters as you are. May the Holy Spirit be with you, iluminating you, inspiring you, guiding you because you are some special kind of rock in this stormy sea of our times. In you, we can get a peaceful place, because Jesus is our Rest.

Let`s remember the scriptures but through a wonderful piece of music:

How beautiful are the feet of them
that preach the gospel of peace;
And bring glad tidings, glad tidings of good things!

(The Messiah, by G.F. Händel)

Smile Yes dear brother (((((((Brakhus))))))) is an embrace. I spent a period time in Roman Catholic church services and was particularly impressed when they "exchanged the peace of Christ" perhaps here that embrace, a hug in the Name of Jesus, could be the equivalent of exchanging the peace of our dear Lord. I pray that it is taken as such.

Your posts and commentaries in them are so welcome. Also your kind words. It is wonderful to see a brother in the Lord so capable and able to share the Gospel message and open up the scriptures in a clear way.

Filipenses 2

May God richly bless you.
Your sister in Christ, Katie42

The administrator thinks its a great idea Smile Where should we put it? I'm thinking on the main page as Category all it's own. Just tell me what we should call the category (in Spanish) and I'll set it up! Smile

Hi Smile Elaine,

I'm backing up Brakhus propose. I know different people from different countries who only speak Spanish. I talk when ever I see an opening about this site to anyone. This could be a good way for our Spanish speaking fellowers to interact with others, share, contribute to help and inform the GLBT's and their families that being Christian and Gay is compatible.
'Que Dios te bendiga' Elaine for being open for to give the opportunity to start with it.

I must thank you again and again, dear sisters!

If I can help in this issue about categories in spanish, like the Administrator said, I could say the following:

-I think that opening a whole category will allow the further development of this new instance of our ministry, because in a categorie could be forums, and within forums could be differents topics. Isn't it? So, I think this is the best option.

-How to call the category? This is a harder question, because all we could expect and hope that it should be so exact and attractive to post as it can be. So, I think on this: Each category has 1) a name, 2) a little instructive about who can see it and who can post in it, and 3) a brief commentary with what the category is about. With the 1) and 3) points, I hope my obstacle may be solved.

But thinking more deeply on my proposal, I still see some little problems to solve. Let me analyze them as they deserve, and I'll post the results for your kind attention.

Let's serve our Lord among the nations, but let's do it very well, as He deserves! (This statement is for myself but I share it with you).

In the Purest Love of Him,
your brother Brakhus.

Any ideas on what to call the category? "Welcome!" and then something like "A place for our Spanish speaking brothers and sisters to converse" might work. I'm open for ideas!

Well, my concerns about the "little problems" are solved.

I'm so proud to declare that our dear sister Elaine is a brave and courageous servant of our dear Lord, and her valor is very inspiring to me as it must be to others. God bless you, dear Elaine, for your commitment with our Lord's Work, and may He always be with you.

As you asked, and completing my last post, I humbly suggest:

1) Category name: ¡Gaychurch.org en español! (It means: Gaychurch.org in spanish!)

2) Instructive as usual: Abierto a visitantes. Sólo los miembros pueden colgar comentarios. (It means: Open to guests. Only members can post.)

3) A brief description: Un lugar para que nuestros hermanos y hermanas hispanos puedan compartir opiniones y experiencias y así crecer juntos en la fe. (It means: A place where our spanish speaking brothers and sisters can share opinions and experiences and grow together in faith.)

WOW! What a challenge!
May the Holy Spirit be with us and help us to serve our hispanic sisters and brothers.

Be our Lord blessed.

OK now we need some forums. We need the following categories copied into Spanish (along with their descriptions) so I can post them as forums in the Spanish category. Brakhus, somebody, Spanish please?!:

"Meet the Gang!"
The Gay (GLBT) Christian Life"
Just Us (will double as 'Community Gratitude's and Concerns')
Our Relationships (will double as 'Christian Personals')
Spiritual Issues and Growth
The Bible and Homosexuality

and then I'll add La Puerta - "Discuss articles posted in La Puerta"

Thanks guys! (and gals of course...) Smile

Well, here we go again! Wink

But to accomplish what our dear Elaine asked is so big, that I decided to e-mail her the huge text.
So, dear ones, don't blame if it looks like I'm hanging up the thread. I'm just doing it easier!

Blessings.
