Couple of months ago there was an initiative to set up a Bible study group here. I don't think we ever came up with something concrete, but I'm still interested.

So, my idea is to have a short portion of the scripture assigned for each week, or perhaps a keyword, and then do some research, share ideas, and then discuss it here.

Anyone else on the same page with me?

Hi Wanderer, thanks for your response. It's OK if you're not able to join every week. I may not be able to do so either, so that's OK.

So, what do you think our first topic could be? I think it's important to discuss things we actually find important or struggle with in real life, not to chew on something too abstract. Any ideas?

I jumped in with both feet and posted a Week 1 Bible Study from a Gay Christian Bible Study site. There are 33 weeks so far I have found. I'll be happy to post one per week and we can read them, discuss them, whatever. I figure it's a start. We'll see what happens from here.

I think as each week progresses, you'll see how it does pertain to our lives and our struggles as Gay Christians and how we percieve and are percieved by others who may question the validity of our statmenets of being Christians and Gay.

I'm posting these in a different order at my own message board, just because there were some others that were more relevant at the time. I decided here to start with Week 1 and we can work our way through them.
