I'm not quite sure where to post this - I hope this is the right place!

I was looking through the pages on the site of welcoming churches in the UK and discovered that the link for "integrity uk - London" actually leads to something wholly inappropriate. Either the address needs changing or the whole link deleting!

That was pretty disgusting. I never looked through any of the links! I would e-mail Elaine directly to remove the link and ask her how it got posted in the first place. I would ask her to review all the links to be sure they don't include more of the same. Thanks for catching that to let everyone know.

Portsmouth MCC needs removing also!
The Evangelical Catholic Church also!

Elaine, perhaps you can review these sites with some regularity to make sure these sites are not posted through gaychurch, or lacking time maybe one of your other moderators could take some time. If there are that many incorrect on one link, perhaps there is a major problem with all the links.

Thanks Hannah, yes that happens from time-to-time as churches/organizations abandon their web site and the url gets 'hijacked' by an unsavory organization. When we find these we delete them. Let me know if you ever stumble across another.

Thanks, for pointing these out. As you can imagine with almost 4,500 churches now listed in the directory it's a full time job just reviewing new churches that request to get added everyday. I currently have over 30 churches waiting to be approved and added to the directory. I work 30min to a couple of hours a day on just the new church adds. There is precious little time to go through the existing ones to see if someone has abandoned their web site. You can help however! Go through the web pages and click on the url links. If you find one that is incorrect or missing do some research on Google to find out what happened to the church, where it went, did it close their doors or simply get a new web site (make sure to check the physical location so your not pointing to an entirely new church!). If your unsure then email the church to make sure it's the right one. When you've done all of that then email me back with the complete church information (you can use the "Contact Us" icon at the bottom of this page). The info I need is...
- church name
- address
- denomination
- currect url link
- email address of a contact at the church

Once I have this info I can make the necessary changes in the church directory, database and email listings. Perhaps you could start with these two as I'm going to be working all this week and into next with just the new churches that have requested to be added. A fair amount of work goes into that effort for every church as well. If anyone else can help with the effort that would be most appreciated!
