Hey all
When I first came out, I went on a crusade to convice the world that it is OK to be gay and a christian, especially my christian friends. I was most surprised when this did not go down well. In recent years I heard from God regarding this and this is pretty much what God had to say: It took God a good part of 25 yrs to persuade me that He loved me and accepted me as I am. I cannot expect others to be persuaded in a matter of minutes. I have to be understanding and loving despite rejection and scepticism. God then said that His people perish for a lack of revelation. I have found this to be very true. For as long as people have no revelation, they cling to traditions of men. God is also clear about people seeking truth. Jesus tells us to ask, seek and knock. This is written in a continuous tense. We ought to ask and keep on asking, seek and keep on seeking, knock and keep on knocking. God will not reveal His truth to people who are not seeking and asking. If we want people to walk in the same revelation as we are walking, they need to seek God for the same revelation. As long as they are not seeking, they will not receive revelation. And they will keep on rejecting our message and testimony. So that is the plain and simple truth about this issue. And all the more we need to love our enemies. Blessings Len From Len in Kings Langley near London. |
