For He guards the course of the just and protects the way of His faithful ones. Proverbs 2:8

Have you ever been lost? I mean really, really lost? Have you ever felt that way spiritually like you are not sure where to go and what to do? Are you ever uncertain of what God wants you to do in a circumstance or even in life? It is when our eyes are off of Him that we begin to go astray, when we are forced to cut our own trails and blindly stumble through dark passages. Sometimes, God allows these things as a test of faith. Other times, like Jonah, we flee from God's Plan, then end up in the belly of the fish. God's way is sometimes very difficult to discern. This is because we have already painted a picture of how things shall be. The Jews of Jesus's time did this concerning the Messiah, and were unable to recognize anyone who did not arrive sheathed in armour in a chariot. The way to get back on the path of God is not to concentrate harder on the PATH, but to focus more on the GUIDE. If you do not know what to do, have prayed until your mouth is dry over a cicumstance or need, instead of continuing to focus there, focus on God instead. It is not your own wisdom that will guide you, but the wisdom placed in your heart by His Spirit. On this path we will all stumble and fall, great and small alike. But if we focus on Him, even if we have taken side trips God will be there guiding your course, and protecting your way. If you are there right now, spend a moment in hindsight; was not God always there protecting you from great cliffs you could have fallen over? Then He will continue to guide you home.
